Rubber is a strong polymer which stretches and is or made from the latex sap of the Para rubber tree (Natural, called isoprene).. Rubber is elastic and durable due to its long polymer chains that can stretch and return to their original shape. It is considered resilient because of the way its long polymer chains uncoil and recoil when force is applied. It is often used to make seals, gaskets, as well as components, such as belts, hoses, and static seals.
