There is not a single universally accepted definition of cellulose film. ASTM does have standards which do address cellulose derivatives and their applications., including cellulose acetate film. Cellulose is a bio-based plastic polymer that can be derived from biomass. It is universally available. Among the cellulose derived products, cellulose acetate (CA) is the one that has been widely produced for thermoplastics.
