Gasses that trap heat in the atmosphere are often called greenhouse gasses. Some greenhouse gasses such as carbon dioxide occur naturally releasing into the air through natural processes and human activities. The International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recognize four primary GHG’s water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrous oxide (N2O) and methane (CH4).
