Indicators can be chemical, physical, or electronic in nature. They do not measure temperature over time. Instead, they measure an event such as if a Temperature threshold has been breached (i.e., freezing). There are TTIs, which estimate an accumulative degree-hour exposure, responding to a temperature threshold. They can be designed to begin working at a particular temperature range (i.e., above 10 degrees C). They usually look like a label. They are Qualitative, and single use.
