A chemical used to make (polycarbonate plastics) and epoxy resins. BPA can be present in plastics used to make appliances, computers, eyeglass lenses, food storage containers, thermal paper, textiles, adhesives, and ink. It can be found in epoxy resins which coat the inside of cans and bottle tops. Humans are primarily exposed to BPA through food packaging. Packages with the recycling number 3, 6, and 7 are more likely to have BPA.
